When I was a kid, my mom (or was it my big sis?) would take the bar soap ends and melt them into liquid soap or combine them to make a bigger bar.  I love the Young Living bar soap and got the great idea while in the shower to try turning it into a liquid soap for my foaming dispensers. Foaming soap dispensers use so little soap and are a great way to stretch your dollar and pricey castile soap.  I shaved off .5 oz off of my peppermint cedarwood bar soap. Yes, I weighed it. I chopped it into small pieces and put it in my pyrex 2 cup measure. Then I poured 3 oz. water over the soap and microwaved it. Please, not hate over the microwave. We still use ours, especially for things like this.  I did 30 seconds and stirred. It took many short re-heatings to get it all dissolved but it was soft and lovely and smelled amazing. I always say how much I love a DIY! It's true!  Today I tested some recipes for foaming pods to use in the toilet and dishwasher.   (Scroll to the bottom for my cleaning results and cost breakdown if you want to know how well they worked before trying the recipe.) The first recipe is for the toilet pods.  Recipe:  1 cup baking soda 1/4 cup citric acid (I got mine at Amazon) 1 cap of Thieves Household Cleaner (THC) 1 tiny squirt of Thieves dish liquid Mix the baking soda and citric acid first.  Then very slowly add the Thieves cleaner. I mean slow! If you dump it in you will fizz up your mixture and it won't work. You may get a bit of fizz when drizzling but it will be minor. Once the cap is empty squirt a tiny amount of dish soap. This helps binds. It will look dry and crumbly but hold together when pressed. Then I pressed them into a silicone mold I have used for bath bombs. An ice tray would work, but the flexib...

This soap is natural, and can be easily modified for your skin type. It is also very inexpensive! I bought an inexpensive foaming soap dispenser, but you could just reuse and empty one. Fill it 3/4 full with water. I chose to use two castile soaps together in my recipe. They are both wonderful for the skin and smell great.  These are Dr. Woods Black Soap, and Dr. Bonners Hemp Rose Soap.  I added enough to fill the container but leave some room for the dispenser to fit in without over flowing. For my dispenser it was about 6 oz of water and 1.5 oz of soap.   A rule of thumb is 5 to one water to soap in a foaming dispenser.  You can see it got cloudy once the soap was in. If you do the water then the soap it doesn't over flow with suds! Now you add the oils of your choice.
