Essential Oil Roller Ball Purse Kit

Image
Rollerball bottles are the easiest way to apply oils. Especially on the go. That is why I made this purse kit with some of my favorite on the go blends.    I bought a box of tins and 6 sets of the colored metal roller bottles. I liked the gold lids with the gold lettering I  made on my silhouette cameo 3. The tin holds six 10 ml bottles easily.  ↑ Here is what I put in my Focus blend.  This is what I use when I feel scatterbrained and need to get things done. It is also our main go-to for school. Breathe says it all.  ↑ My favorite for sinus support all year round.  ⬆ Chill, this is another I take on trips.  This helps me relax when sleeping in away from home, and move on when things don't go as planned.  ↑ I'm not as young as I used to be, and my body reminds often. 😜 The Move blend is invigorating and relaxing, just what I need after a strenuous workout, walking all day, or a bad night sleep on a hard hotel mattress.

Amish Friendship Bread

This is a versatile, fun, sweet bread that is great for giving in the starter or  finished form. If no one has given you a starter, no worries it is easy to start your own. Follow the recipe below. On the daily chart, it will be day one.  If you forget to stir one day or don't add on day 5, it won't ruin the starter. As long as you do stir fairly regularly and feed in once a week it will live.               Amish Friendship Bread NOTE: Do not refrigerate starter. It is normal for the batter to rise and ferment. If air builds up, let it out (we called this burping). Do not use metal bowl or spoons until you are ready to bake your starter. The fermentation process and metal do not mix. Day 1: Do nothing. Day 2: Stir. Day 3: Stir. Day 4: Stir. Day 5: Stir. Day 6: Add to the bag: 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk. Stir. Day 7: Stir. Day 8: Stir. Day 9: Stir. Day 10: Follow the directions below: 1.    Scoop out 1 cup of mixture into a nonmetal bowl and

Favorite Christmas Reads

I know, most are complaining that we go straight from Halloween to Christmas. I happen to see Thanksgiving and Christmas as one long holiday season that flows and blends together. I am one who will listen to Christmas music November 1st. So if you aren't ready yet, come back in a few weeks. For the rest of us, put on some Micheal Buble holiday music and grab a book! Part of feeling in the holiday spirit is reading a fun Christmas themed book. Here are some of my favorites! You will notice that many are mysteries because I love a good cozy mystery.  Vintage woman reading book First, is one that I read EVERY year, usually on Thanksgiving break. Charlotte MacLeod was an amazing, witty author. Reading her books is like a combination of P. G. Wodehouse and Agatha Christie. "Rest You Merry" is the first book in her Peter Shandy series. The entire series is lovely. I devoured every book.  Book two is another Charlotte MacLeod, "Murder Goes Mumming&q
