Upcycle T-shirts into Dresses

  I have lots of t-shirts that fit fine but aren't long enough. They are perfect for this kind of project. Kwik Sew 3881 - This is the one!

I have been looking for a current pattern that is close to the vintage one I love. This is it! The View  A is almost exactly like my pattern from the 1950s. If you are wanting to make some vintage styles this pattern will get you there!  It comes with 4 styles in one envelope: brief, bikini, hipster, and thong all available in all sizes.  This year I am planning to do a lingerie/sleepwear type project as the first project of each month! Burda 6345 ~ One Day Sew ~ Knit Tunic

  Ready for another great fast project this week? This took only a few hours from cutting to hem. Do you have a directional or striped knit and have been waiting for the perfect pattern? This may be it! Make sure to check out the pattern prep and cutting layout if you are a new sewist. It was easy but could be confusing to some from the pattern info. Serged Fleece Blanket With Foot Pocket ~ Sew With Me

Here is a fast project you can make in an afternoon! It is a serged, lined, fleece blanket with a pocket for your feet! I made this one very large for an adult but it would be easy to adapt for children. Fabric: Fleece from Hobby Lobby Overlock/Serger: Bernette 334DS Sewing Machine: Bernina 770QEE Thread: Overlock cones, and Wooly Nylon This project used 2.5 yards of each fabric for a finished blanket 6 feet long and 4.5 feet wide (72"x54"). Raglan Sleeved Baby Dress - Sew with Me

Last time I showed you the basics of applique, this week we sew it all together!  The project is a flannel baby dress and bloomers with ladybug applique. The bloomers will be the next video! Let's Make a T-shirt with Lace Sleeves

It is spring and I want cute new clothes! This week I made a floral t-shirt with lace sleeves. So make some tea and sew with me!  A few details about this project: pattern: Vogue 9057 (Marcy Tilton R10066) fabric from JoAnn's Fabric I used the decorative edge of the lace to finish the sleeve instead of hemming it.
