Immune Support for the Holidays

Image
( Disclaimer: I am not prescribing or giving medical advice. It is always good to go to your doctor. I am sharing my personal experiences. Also when using essential oils on the skin always test for sensitivity and use a carrier oil like coconut or even olive oil if you need to.)  Everyone I know is getting sick! ICK! It's the holiday rush, stress, fluctuating weather patterns, people overload at every store...  Our systems need a little extra TLC this time of year. Here is where I start. Give your immune system the big guns with a one-two punch of Inner Defence and Thieves essential oil blend.  I take an Inner Defence softgel morning and night and apply Thieves to my feet if I feel the slightest tickle in my throat or drip in my nose.  Thieves is great to diffuse I add a drop of it to my Christmas spirit and get yummy smells and wellness support. If it is too late and you are below the wellness line still do both of those things above, but we need to add a few more

Let's talk makeup and skin care.

Let's start by saying I am no beauty guru and I am coming from the perspective of someone closer to 50 than 20.   Our beauty routine can be one of the most toxic things we do to ourselves! Sadly, many of the products meant to help keep us looking young and vibrant are actually working against us. That is why I LOVE Young Living and all their wonderful products!  This lovely box was a little gift for myself. I ordered it during the Balck Friday - Cyber Monday specials. It is the Savvy Minerals Holiday Collection #21952.   The packaging is so nice! I didn't even realize how wonderful the items would be.  This is my makeup box. I don't wear makeup every day, but I like options. This one opens up and has my creams, deodorant etc. down underneath.  This is the new Rocking lip color that came with my holiday kit. It isn't available for a single purchase yet.  Look at that light up lid! What I am wearing: Before I put on my makeu

Jesse Tree devotions for Advent.

Image
Are you looking for a Christmas devotion? Last year I did this on with my ladies Bible Study group. I can't recommend it enough. Get yours at Amazon .com As part of the devotion, you can make a Jesse tree and ornaments. I printed out each day's ornament and trimmed it in glitter scrapbook paper. I used a large glass vase filled sand and Christmassy glass pebbles.  I found flocked and crystal-crusted tree branches at Hobby Lobby for the actual Jesse Tree. Here is the naked tree ready for an ornament a day. The finished ornaments are simple and sparkly. I chose not to put a hole and string on them. Instead, I am hanging them with tiny clothespins. Here is the tree with about half the ornaments on it.  These beautiful ornaments are for sale if you don't want to make your own, for about $150.00 at  DaySpring. I want a Christmas that whispers Jesus.  Ann Voskamp
