  Here is a lovely vintage pattern that has been brought back! It is quick and easy, great for a new sewist. However, the simplicity makes it a great option for adding lace, using interesting fabrics, and playing around with trims.  Easily make a whole collection of new nighties with this pattern!   First of all, the sound at the beginning of the video is a mess. It does get better! I was so disappointed because I did a soundcheck and it was fine. :( Hang on past the overview and it is much better!  This adorable pattern is a great one for a new sewist.   A simple camisole is a staple foundation garment. It can be worn under other tops, sweaters, with a jacket, or as part of a pajama set. This pattern includes a slip, cami, and shorts and comes with all sizes in the envelope. This is a great beginner project that doesn't require much fabric and no fasteners! I have made this pattern so many times! It is flattering and fast. My go-to when I want a new little top. This is a project you can make in one sitting but will be your favorite new top! I have some cute new designs in my TeeSpring shop too! Check it out!  

  I threw this tree skirt together with what I had on hand already. This was a make-do project but that can be our secret. Close up of the trim application. The lining side of the skirt.

Napkins are a favorite handmade item I love to make for gifts. Doing a mitered corner elevates the look and quality.  

Check out my review before you make this project, especially if you are plus size. I don't hate it but... It definitely isn't meant to a fuller figure. Make the shirt I am wearing in the video!

Let's make a transitional dress (or top)! Simplicity 9012 is a loosely fitted raglan sleeve pattern with an elastic neck and sleeve at the elbow. It is soft, flowy, and easy to wear. I made the view A dress with the View B sleeve. This is another easy project but the interesting details make it look designer! I made the belt and I show it on, but I won't likely be wearing it.   Ready for another great fast project this week? This took only a few hours from cutting to hem. Do you have a directional or striped knit and have been waiting for the perfect pattern? This may be it! Make sure to check out the pattern prep and cutting layout if you are a new sewist. It was easy but could be confusing to some from the pattern info. I need to tell you that I really like this pattern. The sleeve variations are adorable!   I used the View A sleeve and the View B hemline. This is a comfy, soft, easy to wear dress. Especially since I underlined it. It feels amazing on. A few things I didn't realize until I was well into construction was: 1. The neckline has a yoke, not a facing. 2. The hem I chose is faced. These were actually better options, but I would have cut my yoke more carefully, lining up the fabric design better, if I had realized. This was totally my fault for not investigating it. The video has timestamps in the YouTube description if you click through to watch. One thing I will change if I do this pattern again is to cut the top portion of the dress in a smaller size. This is such a fast and fun project you will be making zipper bags for everyone you know! Supplies needed: 1/4 yard cotton fabric for the outside of the bag 1/4 yard cotton fabric for the lining 1/4 yard fusible interfacing 9 inch or longer regular zipper 9 1/2 inches elastic Straight pins Thread How to prep your project Cut 2 rectangles 9.5 inches by 4.5 inches of both fabrics and the fusible interfacing. Fuse the interfacing to the outer fabric You are now ready to follow along with the video!  The video will show how your rectangles should look. This project usually takes me under 20 minutes from start to finish if I am not filming it.
