While we all do our best to social distance I am trying to get videos up a bit faster. This one is just what we are up to.  I have to admit it is easy to lose track of time and not be productive.  There is a bit of cooking, sewing, gaming, and essential oils all in this video. Here is the history -  (if you want to skip this scroll down to the next bolded section) I don't post a lot about my son's medical condition. He was diagnosed with Parry Romberg Syndrome at 5 years old. I knew something was wrong starting at 2 1/2. We were so fortunate to find a doctor who happened to read an article about it, start some research and figure it out.  Beginning treatment at age 5 slowed the atrophy and scarring that characterizes most PRS patients. If you are like me you have been trying lots of toxin-free personal products. I have even tried making my own pit paste and stick deodorant. For a few years I have been using Young Living Deodorant and I like it! They have two scents, both are nice.  They are safe products that even children can use without worry. (if you have kids you know some need deo early 😳) A friend mentioned that she was traveling and forgot her deodorant  so she used her Thieves Aromabrite toothpaste as pit paste. She raved about how well it worked and she now only uses it. So I decided to do a little experiment of my own and try it out.  My conclusion after a week of only using toothpaste for deodorant, I am a convert! Here is what I found. It only takes a tiny pea size, I have NO body odor even after 24 hours. I don't have to re-apply (this may change in the heat of summer). It feels smooth, not sticky, dries fast, and doesn't stain my clothes.  It is a winner!...

This month (March 2019) Young Living is blessing us with all things Thieves for our promotional items. I love this so much! If you look back at past blogs I have lots of DIYs that include the Thieves cleaner and dish soap.  But what about that big container of veggie soak? I love and I use it. It does last a long time if the only thing you are doing is washing produce with it. BUT, it is great made into a spray and to use for spot cleaning just like your Thieves spray. It does have some different ingredients (from the thieves spray) like Digize and Purification oils. Thieves Household cleaner is the only cleaner you need to buy!  This week I made wet mopping pads (like Swiffer without all the bad ingredients). I already have the mop that takes the wet or dry pads. Do you love a bath bomb but not the price, sketchy ingredients, and loads of dye that stains your tub? Me too! They are so easy to make and the ingredients are easy to come by.  You will notice I don't use any dyes in my products. That is my personal preference. Confession time. I have a thing about office supplies. Journals, colorful pens, decorative tape dispensers, sticky notes with cute sayings... I'm a sucker for all of it. I love organizational tools too. I don't always use them but I have them just in case.  This year I am not doing resolutions. I really quit that a few years ago. Instead, I want to make new habits and see progress. Perfectionism has been a problem for me and this method is one way I can stay out of that never-good-enough putting-too-much-pressure-on-myself loop so I can actually get things done and move forward.  The first page of my first bullet journal.
