What to diffuse with the PSK

Image
Did you just get your Premium Starter Kit from Young Living? Are you sniffing all your bottles and wondering what to try in your diffuser?  It is a big decision. We don't want to waste our lovely oils and what if we get a weird combo and pump it out into the room?  Here is a little information to help you get started.  Use good water in your diffuser. If you live in an area with hard water, use filtered or distilled.  Remember to clean your diffuser often. Wipe it out (gently) between uses, and clean with alcohol every 4-5 uses. Watch that you don't get any liquid down inside the vent hole!  Start slow and light. Diffuse for 30 minutes and see how your system reacts. Oils are potent and some can cause our bodies to want to slough off all the toxins inside. That is good but doing it quickly can feel bad. 😳 So what to diffuse and why? Many of the oils are great on their own.  Purification: light, clean, fresh, and citrus-y. I love this one for

Spring Diffuser Blends

Image
Spring is time for some fresh clean light scents for the diffuser! Anything you put in your diffuser and you love could just as easily become a room spray. So think of your diffuser experiments as future room spray favorites.  My # 1 favorite blend:  I discovered this one by accident when making a recipe for a spray for my kids before they went hiking. It was to keep the creepy, crawly, bitey creatures away. It smelled so amazing! We use this on the dog too.  This next one is my preferred night time blend. It can be sprayed on pillows for a restful sleep and dropped into a bath to aid relaxation. Diffuse for relaxation or sleep.  Sage has a wonderful fresh smell!  Another orange option. I like orange! My newest diffuser. I really like it! I wanted something like my aria for my sewing room/office.

Thyroid Support & Young Living

Image
I did a post for my private Facebook group recently on Thyroid support. That little thyroid sure does affect every part of our bodies! I personally have Hashimoto Thyroiditis. I was diagnosed over 10 years ago. It is hereditary for me and we have many generations with hypothyroidism on my mother's side of the family.  There are many supplements that support the thyroid, but I am going to highlight my personal top 4. 1)Endoflex - supports the entire endocrine system. Apply over the thyroid, adrenal glands, kidneys, liver, vitaflex on feet, can be ingested and diffused. I apply to my thyroid and adrenals (kidney area on my back) morning and night.  2)Sulfurzyme - this is a capsule, I take 1-2 in the morning and night. This supports the entire body, helps the immune system, and joints (includi ng my back!)  3)Thyromin - Another capsule, I take two at night. Developed by Gary Young who no longer has a thyroid. This does not force thyroid to certain levels, it supports

Perry Romberg & Trigeminal Neuralgia Update

Image
It is has been quite a while since I have updated on my son's journey with Perry Romberg (PRS) and Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN). Honestly, it is easier not to talk about it. Pain is the shadow over his childhood. I am a positive person and I tend to only talk about the things that uplift. No one likes being around the person who always talks about their problems. As a rule, I try to talk about it only when asked. If someone asks my son how he's doing, he always says "Good." No matter how he feels. The answer is good.  It's easier.  So here is where we are today. He is almost 14, tall, thinning out, smart, sassy at times, quiet mostly, with a tendency towards kindness, gentleness, and dark humor. He's creative, smart sensitive, handsome. All the stuff moms always say.  Until a two weeks ago he hurt every day. Usually all day. The best medicine we have found is in his friendships. He smiles more, laughs constantly, and seems to be able to put the pa
