Thieves Fruit and Veggie Soak (another use)

Image
This month (March 2019) Young Living is blessing us with all things Thieves for our promotional items. I love this so much! If you look back at past blogs I have lots of DIYs that include the Thieves cleaner and dish soap.  But what about that big container of veggie soak? I love and I use it. It does last a long time if the only thing you are doing is washing produce with it. BUT, it is great made into a spray and to use for spot cleaning just like your Thieves spray. It does have some different ingredients (from the thieves spray) like Digize and Purification oils. These make it a great option to use in areas where you need to squash odor along with any crud left on the surface. Here is how I make up a spray with the Veggie soak for using on my cutting boards or counters. especially after cutting onions or garlic!   Regular use for the soak is two tablespoons per 1 gallon of water. It doesn't take much. So in a small purse sized spray bottle it...

Making Laundry Soap in a Pinch

Image
I ran out of my Thieves laundry soap this week. I know, big deal. In a normal week, this would be a problem but we could survive until my next monthly Young Living order arrived. This week was not normal. We had been gone for a week and had laundry for the whole family to do before two of my kids left in 1 day for a week of camp. I had also offered to let our Youth Minister do his laundry at our house as he was doing the 1 day turn around between weeks of camp too. OOPS!  We gave the last of our Thieves Laundry soap to our youth minister when I realized I didn't have another bottle.  But I have a few bottles of the regular Thieves Household Cleaner (THC). So here is a quick and easy recipe to get you through. I know you hear everyone claim they use it for everything. Well, its true. Depending on the size of your load, (I have an HE large capacity machine) in the liquid dispenser of your machine: 1 capful of the THC - you can use up to 2 caps if you ha...

Make Take and Scan Class with

Image
This weekend a friend and I did a "make and take" class with a twist. While I helped with the projects, she did Itovi scans.  We had six ladies attend and it went smoothly with a few at each station and one being scanned.  Here are the creation stations: Purification room spray (in the kitchen) Thieves foaming hand soap Fruit and cheese trays, plus fruit infused water (it's still in the fridge) pitcher with fresh fruit and ice. I also get out my Ningxia bottle during the party and offer it to any who want to try. It is such an amazing juice that supports our whole system.  Peppermint sugar scrub in the dining room. Lavender bath salt in the dining room. I put a dish towel at each station because life is messy. I also set up a little demo of what to do with your empties, my foaming pods and a few products to try like the lavender lotion.  The top bags are the door prizes. A thieves cleaner (d...

Purification spray to keep the odors away!

Image
I made Purification spray today! It is just the right thing for sneakers, teen boy rooms, refreshing throw pillows, stale rooms and so much more! Here is how to make your own. Put 1 tsp baking soda in your bottle then fill nearly full with hot water from the tap. Put on the top and shake to dissolve the baking soda. Open back up and put in 10-20 drops of purification and shake again. My bottle was 4 oz so 15 drops was just right. I have made other room sprays with this same technique and different oils. Here is where I got my great bottles! Blue Spray Bottle
