This could be titled "my new toy." I have been wanting one of these cutting machines for a while. I ordered it to come right before school ended so I would be able to play with it the first free day I had.  It comes with a free software that isn't too hard to learn since there are many tutorials online. Thank you, YouTube! This is my first try at a project. I just chose a font and did my name. The pink adhesive backed vinyl on the sticky sheet. It's loaded up and ready to cut.  Here it is "weeded" and ready for the transfer tape. On my cup! SO EASY! I'm hooked. My next project was for essential oil roller bottle labels. I made Purification spray today! It is just the right thing for sneakers, teen boy rooms, refreshing throw pillows, stale rooms and so much more! Here is how to make your own. Put 1 tsp baking soda in your bottle then fill nearly full with hot water from the tap. Put on the top and shake to dissolve the baking soda. Open back up and put in 10-20 drops of purification and shake again. My bottle was 4 oz so 15 drops was just right. I have made other room sprays with this same technique and different oils. This is my van before I leave to teach sewing. There are 2 sewing machines, 20 binders, fabric, 2 cutting boards, my large tote bag with my teacher things, and a giant rolling tool box. I travel once a a week to teach sewing at my son's home school group. That giant rolling toolbox has sewing supplies like scissors, pins, tape measures etc. as well as handouts. I bring it back and forth every week. Hopefully most of the rest of the items will be stored at the facility. Every week we put up and tear down a complete sewing classroom for 5 students at a time including 5 machines, ironing boards, and cutting boards. By the end of the 8 hours of class I will have 29 students, boys and girls, junior high and high school ages come through my classroom.   This one day each week is such a blessing to me! I love teaching a skill to my students, but even more is the spark of creativity that grows through the year. These creative kids do amazing things!

I am starting two new Bible studies this week, both I am in some way facilitating at least some of the time.  Part of Bible study for me is memory work. Usually I write my memory verses on index cards and post them all over the house, carry one in my purse, crochet bag, and Bible. Today, however, I was inspired to make it beautiful and fun. Like a gift every time I worked on my verse.  This is my Scripture Flower. I made it from scraps of scrapbook paper.  I didn't have any double sided paper to so I glued some together. Try it and the Word will bloom in you!

My hands must be busy. I type away at my computer, scribble in my notebooks, pin, stitch, rip, and crochet! I can face any day shuttling kids to a myriad of activities if my crochet bag is with me.  I cannot enjoy a movie at home without a crochet project.  When the movie is exciting my hands fly and stitches flow. There is comfort in the even rows, beautiful yarns and natural warmth of the project.  I tried to count how many items I had crocheted in my lifetime.  I don't have an accurate count, but I know there are dozens of hats, 20 or so scarves, three sweaters, maybe 30 afghans, plus little amigurumi dolls, bags, purses, potholders, trivets, and on and on...   Above is my current project.  It will be an afghan for my oldest.  She chose the yarn, I the pattern.  When I started it it went with me to the Dr. office, dance classes etc.  Now that it is getting cumberso...
