Serged Fleece Blanket With Foot Pocket ~ Sew With Me



Here is a fast project you can make in an afternoon! It is a serged, lined, fleece blanket with a pocket for your feet! I made this one very large for an adult but it would be easy to adapt for children.






 Fabric: Fleece from Hobby Lobby Overlock/Serger: Bernette 334DS Sewing Machine: Bernina 770QEE Thread: Overlock cones, and Wooly Nylon

This project used 2.5 yards of each fabric for a finished blanket 6 feet long and 4.5 feet wide (72"x54"). The pocket is 16 inches deep.

Essential Oil Class or Party Set Up (in your home)

I love having in home classes and telling others about the benefits of essential oils.  I know that it can be intimidating so I am sharing how I do the basic or 101 class it in my home.  Start with a good diffuser blend. I used a fall scent for the season. This one was orange, clove, cinnamon bark, and pine. Thieves blend  is  good but can cause detox in some so it is one I avoid. Stress Away, Purification, and just orange are all good ones too.  I personally think fresh flowers make a home look inviting. I usually have flowers in my home anyway but I  step it up a notch when I do a class.  I always have food at my classes. Many have food allergies etc. so I usually stick with cheese, fruit, veggies, and do a gluten free cracker. (Pardon the mess, I took the pic before I put away everything.) Purification spray to keep the odors away!

I made Purification spray today! It is just the right thing for sneakers, teen boy rooms, refreshing throw pillows, stale rooms and so much more! Here is how to make your own. Put 1 tsp baking soda in your bottle then fill nearly full with hot water from the tap. Put on the top and shake to dissolve the baking soda. Open back up and put in 10-20 drops of purification and shake again. My bottle was 4 oz so 15 drops was just right. I have made other room sprays with this same technique and different oils.
