Inner Defnese and Winter Wellness

Image
I posted recently about the Raindrop Roller and how we use it to keep above the wellness line. Today I want to share our other favorite product that promotes wellness, Inner Defense softgels. This simple supplement had been a mainstay in our house for a few years. If anyone starts to drop below the wellness line they get a softgel. Depending on what their fighting we take up to 3 a day. That combined with Thieves oil, and/or the Raindrop roller and we are back up to wellness in no time.  What is in it? How much does it cost?  If you are a wholesale member of Young Living it costs about 90¢ a softgel! If you really want a 1- 2 punch for wellness add the Life 9 probiotic and give your immune system a big boost! I have a child with a suppresses immune system who cannot have any over the counter meds or most prescriptions due to a drug interaction. If it weren't for the natural options he would have to live in a bubble. BUT, he doesn't. He d...

Fall Diffuser Recipes and Ratios

Cinnamon is one of our free oils this month, three of the recipes below will pu t that FREE oil to use! How many drops do you put in your diffuser? I have friends ask me this all the time.  The usual rule of thumb is 5-7 drops for 250 to 300 ml diffusers. You can go up to 10 drops without wasting your oils.  Click below to see diffuser recipes from Young Living: Young Living Fall Blog Fall Blends Want to order your own oils or learn more? click here → Tell me more!

Raindrop Roller

Image
Most of us who have been with Young Living know the amazing benefits of the Raindrop Technique for overall wellness and immune system support.  There is great training available to learn the technique and many videos too.  But in a pinch, this roller is a great item to have in your oily toolkit to keep your family above the wellness line.  Since we have one child with a rare disease who cannot have over the counter meds, this is our only defense. When anyone starts to dip down into illness. This roller comes out. We roll it down our spine and on the bottoms of our feet. I repeat at least 3 times a day. Usually, it only takes a day or two to be back into wellness!

Christmas Spirit

Image
I know it is pumpkin spice season, but as soon as the first blush of autumn is in the air I am all about Christmas Spirit. This lovely blend has orange, cinnamon and black spruce in it.  I love it so much that I made a room spray out of it.  Want to make your own? The directions are here →  Room Spray   Just use Christmas Spirit instead of Purification.                             It is literally in all of my diffusers right now.  I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. - Charles Dickens

Essential oil Spotlight - Melrose

Image
Marvelous Melrose This amazing blend was first recommended to us for emotional support for my patient, diplomatic child. We joked she was allergic to her family because the rest of us are more... intense.  Truly, it has a wonderful calming effect.  Since then, we have found many wonderful uses for Melrose. because it contains two kinds of tea tree skin support is an obvious use. Especially, angry, itchy, or unhappy skin that needs to be soothed. It also supports the respiratory and immune system.  All four ingredients in Melrose are good immune support, as well as purifying, uplifting and calming. If used on smaller children make sure to dilute.  This can be applied to the scalp, fingernails, skin that is flaky, has a blemish or an owie. This has a more delicate scent than a straight tea tree.
