Sewing Basic Underwear ~ Simplicity 8229 ~ Things I will change next time.




Sew with me a basic pair of underwear! This time we sew up Simplicity 8229. I will show you all the basics of construction and what I did and didn't like about the pattern and things I would change for the next sewing. *If you are sewing along with me, consider cutting the elastic shorter than the pattern recommends. I did a post for my private Facebook group recently on Thyroid support. That little thyroid sure does affect every part of our bodies! I personally have Hashimoto Thyroiditis. Purification spray to keep the odors away!

I made Purification spray today! It is just the right thing for sneakers, teen boy rooms, refreshing throw pillows, stale rooms and so much more! Here is how to make your own. Put 1 tsp baking soda in your bottle then fill nearly full with hot water from the tap. Put on the top and shake to dissolve the baking soda. Open back up and put in 10-20 drops of purification and shake again. My bottle was 4 oz so 15 drops was just right. I have made other room sprays with this same technique and different oils.
