Pattern Making Class #1 - Skirt Basics

 


Welcome to pattern making class! We will start off with some basics that will be used all the time. I show how to move the dart ease to the hem, add additional fullness to the hem and add godets. All the patterns I make are done in half scale. The resources video is linked below and in the video. I think it really helps to see how the patterns look when sewn up. So the end of the video shows our work in muslin. Now go forth and create!

I did a post for my private Facebook group recently on Thyroid support. That little thyroid sure does affect every part of our bodies! I personally have Hashimoto Thyroiditis. I was diagnosed over 10 years ago. Purification spray to keep the odors away!

I made Purification spray today! It is just the right thing for sneakers, teen boy rooms, refreshing throw pillows, stale rooms and so much more! Here is how to make your own. Put 1 tsp baking soda in your bottle then fill nearly full with hot water from the tap. Put on the top and shake to dissolve the baking soda. Open back up and put in 10-20 drops of purification and shake again. My bottle was 4 oz so 15 drops was just right. I have made other room sprays with this same technique and different oils.
