Patternmaking Kit (half-scale) - let's get ready to make patterns!
Hello pattern makers!
Let's get our pattern-making kit together. First, you need a set of slopers. A sloper is a set of basic patterns without ease and no seam allowance. There are sets for sale online but you can get a copy free here from Iowa State University. It will automatically download a Printable PDF.
Click here to get a printable copy of the half-scale slopers.
Once you print them off it is best to copy them to posterboard or tagboard. You can glue the printed sheet down or trace it off. Whichever you prefer. This is important to help keep the integrity of the pattern as you trace it over and over.
Watch below to see how I prepared mine and what supplies I prefer.
