Essential Oils on the Go

My teen son recently went to two different week-long camps.  He is the reason we started the oily journey so he definitely takes oils with him.

This year I sent small sample bottles with the basics that everyone needs and his main oils in full-size bottles.




I found these little boxes in the school supply section at Wal-Mart for a dollar. They are perfect for a small kit and the hard box protects the bottles. My son carried it in his backpack with him. It is a great purse, or diaper bag size too.


I like to travel with my oils in a padded zipper bag.  This is the one I use the most. I made it and have more like it in my Etsy Shop, Robbins Nest Studio. You can click the tab to visit my shop.



I have also used a train case if taking lots of oils for a class out of town or visiting family for a while. 

It is hard sided and can hold a lot of oils along with empty capsules, carrier oils and more.

I got this one at Dusty's (it is like Sam Moon if you are from TX) for only $10.00!

I have never flown with my oils but I did a cruise with them. They went down the scanner belt with my carry-on items and the security lady backed it up and really looked it over. Then asked me what was in all those little bottles. I told her essential oils and she just pushed the go button and that was it. Easy as can be. I took a diffuser too.

This month (March 2019) Young Living is blessing us with all things Thieves for our promotional items. I love this so much! If you look back at past blogs I have lots of DIYs that include the Thieves cleaner and dish soap.  But what about that big container of veggie soak? I love and I use it. It does last a long time if the only thing you are doing is washing produce with it. BUT, it is great made into a spray and to use for spot cleaning just like your Thieves spray. It does have some different ingredients (from the thieves spray) like Digize and Purification oils. These make it a great option to use in areas where you need to squash odor along with any crud left on the surface. Here is how I make up a spray with the Veggie soak for using on my cutting boards or counters. especially after cutting onions or garlic!   Regular use for the soak is two tablespoons per 1 gallon of water. Essential Oil Class or Party Set Up (in your home)

I love having in home classes and telling others about the benefits of essential oils.  I know that it can be intimidating so I am sharing how I do the basic or 101 class it in my home.  Start with a good diffuser blend. I used a fall scent for the season. This one was orange, clove, cinnamon bark, and pine. Thieves blend  is  good but can cause detox in some so it is one I avoid. Stress Away, Purification, and just orange are all good ones too.  I personally think fresh flowers make a home look inviting. I usually have flowers in my home anyway but I  step it up a notch when I do a class.  I always have food at my classes. Many have food allergies etc. so I usually stick with cheese, fruit, veggies, and do a gluten free cracker. (Pardon the mess, I took the pic before I put away everything.) Purification spray to keep the odors away!

I made Purification spray today! It is just the right thing for sneakers, teen boy rooms, refreshing throw pillows, stale rooms and so much more! Here is how to make your own. Put 1 tsp baking soda in your bottle then fill nearly full with hot water from the tap. Put on the top and shake to dissolve the baking soda. Open back up and put in 10-20 drops of purification and shake again. My bottle was 4 oz so 15 drops was just right. I have made other room sprays with this same technique and different oils.
